bumper
the part of a car that protects the front or back in a small crash
turn signal
a light that shows which direction the car is going to turn
tire
the round rubber part that the car drives on
headlight
a light on the front of the car that helps you see at night
hood
the metal cover over the engine in the front of the car
side view mirror
a mirror on the side of the car used to see traffic behind you
windshield
the front glass of the car that you look through
windshield wipers
long pieces that move across the windshield to clear rain or dirt
hubcap
a cover on the center of a wheel
fender
the part of the car around the wheel that protects it
tail light
a red light on the back of the car
trunk
the storage space in the back of the car
license plate
a metal plate with numbers and letters that identifies the car
grill
the front part of the car with openings that let air in
tail pipe
the pipe at the back of the car where exhaust comes out

seat belt
a strap that keeps you safe in your seat
rearview mirror
a mirror inside the car used to see behind you
steering wheel
the wheel you turn to control the direction of the car
speedometer
the gauge that shows how fast the car is going
brake
a pedal used to slow down or stop the car
clutch
a pedal used to change gears in a manual car
gas pedal (accelerator)
the pedal you press to make the car go faster
dashboard
the area in front of the driver with gauges and controls
visor
a flap above the windshield that blocks the sun
glove compartment
a small storage space in the dashboard
vent
an opening where air comes into the car
gear shift
the lever used to change gears
emergency brake
a brake used to keep the car from moving when parked

Write sentences in the past tense. Make sure you use the correct capitalization and include a period at the end of each sentence. There are also some verbs from the previous lesson for review.
